Senior Mental Health Team Practitioner

We are looking to recruit a Senior Practitioner (MHST) who is enthusiastic, kind, compassionate and resilient. With experience of supporting others to develop.
We seek a Practitioner who has experience of working with multi-disciplinary professionals to achieve positive outcomes for CYP's and families and can evidence an understanding of CBT based interventions
The role will require the individual to be an identified lead for schools within the MHST and work closely with other early intervention and Early Help services.
The Role
The Mental Health Support Teams integrate into our already well established offer and compliment the many excellent teams and services out there to further enhance the early help and intervention offer.
The MHST is built on coproduction, innovation and listening and learning to create a service that can meet the local population’s needs. The teams will work directly into schools and colleges with children and young people between the ages of 5 to 18.
The teams will support schools and the wider system and will have a particular focus on whole school approach, advice support guidance and consultation. The teams will also deliver targeted low intensity CBT informed based 1:1 and group sessions, Parent led workshops and creative based interventions to support mild to moderate social, emotional and mental health needs.

To support the MHST Clinical/Professional Team Lead and other colleagues in providing a low intensity Psychological therapies service for children, young people and their families in schools/colleges.
To support the MHST Clinical/Professional Team Lead in providing professional/clinical leadership within own area of responsibility.
To oversee the formulation and intervention plans for schools, parents, children and young people being supported by the Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHP)s using a range of specialist psychological interventions appropriate to the service; individual and groups.
Work in partnership with schools/colleges, to support children, young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties and their families in the self-management of presenting difficulties.
Provide a range of information and support to schools for evidence based psychological, social emotional and systemic interventions, including guided self-help and signposting to other services where appropriate.
To provide professional/clinical supervision to EMHPs along with other professional/clinical supervisors in the team.
To support the EMHPs to liaise with other education, health, social care and voluntary community sector staff from a range of agencies, in the care provided to children, young people, their families and professionals.
Support EMHPs in the co-delivery of training sessions, group and individual interventions in schools.
Assess and deliver, outcome focused, evidence-based interventions to children and young people and families experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
