**Multi Skilled Tradesman and Maintenance Operative**

We are looking for an experienced Multi-Trader and Maintenance Operative to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Multi Skills Property Maintenance Engineer who is looking to develop their career within a well-established and growing property investment company. Jobs are located throughout Essex.

**As a Multi Skills Property Maintenance Engineer you will be able to;**
- Carry out reactive and planned preventative maintenance work (carpentry, tiling, roofing, basic plumbing, basic electrical, guttering, decorating, plastering, kitchen and bathroom refits and more) to residential managed properties
- Carry out fault finding and leak investigations
- Carry out repairs and/or additional work arising from examinations and investigations
- Work effectively as part of a team and individually
- Comply with Health & Safety systems and responsibilities
- Complete reports and paperwork as required
- Work Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00 (Optional Overtime Provided)

**Responsibilities & Duties**:

- Oversee void rooms and units to prepare for new occupier
- Oversee maintenance of common part areas
- Painting
- Basic Plumbing
- Basic carpentry including door hanging (Essential)
- Lock changing (Essential)
- Gardening including fencing
- Bathrooms and kitchen repairs
- Furniture / Rubbish removals
- Cleaning (desirable)
- Problem solving
- Meeting people to hand over keys for a check in
- Doing schedule of condition report/schedule of works

**Essential skills**:

- Basic carpentry including door hanging
- Lock changing
- Basic knowledge of electrics
- Previous experience as a maintenance operative in multisite
- Basic knowledge of gas boilers & electric heating systems
- Driving license

**Reporting to the Head of Operations you will**:

- Perform regular inspections of properties and apartments to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
- Execute repair and maintenance tasks efficiently, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general handyman work.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to appliances, fixtures, furniture, and equipment in the apartments.
- Coordinate and collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialised repairs and projects.
- Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Assist in preparing properties for tenant arrivals, including setting up furniture, fixtures, and amenities.
- Collaborate with the operations team to address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and stay updated on industry best practices.

Provide valuable input and suggestions for improving the overall guest experience and operational efficiency.

**Ideally you will**:

- have a background in operations, property management, customer services or similar
- have a good understanding of property maintenance, including common issues and how to fix them
- have excellent written and verbal communication
- be detail orientated and focused on providing outstanding levels of service
- be highly collaborative and have a desire to “get things done”
- be flexible and adaptable

**THE PERSON** A successful Multi Skills Property Maintenance Engineer needs to have;
- Good communication skills, excellent time keeping, a professional manner and excellent customer service
- The ability to work under pressure
- 3 + Years’ experience in a similar role
- Eligible to live and work in the UK
- Full Clean driving licence and own tools

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: £18,000.00-£22,500.00 per year
