Handyman/maintenance

Someone needed to do Maintenance/ work. Must be willing to travel as work will be needed in Southend, Upminster and other areas.

Deliveries will involve picking up and dropping off items if needed as well as items required in maintaining properties. Maintenance required will be painting, repairing walls, moving bed bases/washing machines, clearing communal areas and general tidying up.

Applicants MUST have a driving licence and MUST be able to work weekends (instead of certain weekdays)

**You will be able to;**
- Carry out reactive and planned preventative maintenance work (carpentry, tiling, roofing, basic plumbing, basic electrical, guttering, decorating, plastering, kitchen and bathroom refits and more) to residential managed properties
- Carry out fault finding and leak investigations
- Carry out repairs and/or additional work arising from examinations and investigations
- Work effectively as part of a team and individually
- Comply with Health & Safety systems and responsibilities
- Complete reports and paperwork as required
- Work Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00 (Optional Overtime Provided)

**Responsibilities & Duties**:

- Oversee void rooms and units to prepare for new occupier
- Oversee maintenance of common part areas
- Painting
- Basic Plumbing
- Basic carpentry including door hanging (Essential)
- Lock changing (Essential)
- Gardening including fencing
- Bathrooms and kitchen repairs
- Furniture / Rubbish removals
- Cleaning (desirable)
- Problem solving
- Meeting people to hand over keys for a check in
- Doing chedule of condition report/schedule of works

**Essential skills**:

- Basic carpentry including door hanging
- Lock changing
- Basic knowledge of electrics
- Previous experience as a maintenance operative in multisite
- Basic knowledge of gas boilers & electric heating systems
- Driving license

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £200.00-£400.00 per week
