An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Respiratory Physiology team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

As a Senior Clinical Physiologist the postholder is responsible for providing a high quality diagnostic service for the Trust. They will interpret, report, authorise and approve a range of complex, diagnostic highly specialised clinical measurement investigations. The postholder

The postholder will be required to deputise for the Chief Clinical Physiologist in their absence.

The postholder will be based at the Sleep Centre in Charing Cross Hospital primarily where they will be involved in a wide range of diagnostic treatments including sleep studies ( including full polysomnography, NIV and CPAP clinics. They will also rotate across the lung function services within the trust. There is also the Exercise lab at Hammersmith Hospital which undertakes cardiopulmonary exercise tests.

To provide Lung Function tests, and Sleep diagnostics and treatments independently. There will also be the opportunity to rotate across the Trust sites. The work of the postholder must be reliable, accurate and to a high professional standard. The information obtained is used to assign the diagnosis of disease and to identify treatment regimes. The postholder is also responsible for the maintenance and calibration of all equipment including therapeutic/diagnostic equipment issued for use in the patients’ home.
