About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Respiratory Physiologist to join our multidisciplinary team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. As a Senior Respiratory Physiologist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality diagnostic testing and clinical expertise to patients with respiratory conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of respiratory physiologists, providing clinical guidance and expertise to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement clinical protocols and guidelines for respiratory testing and treatment.
  • Collaborate with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
  • Conduct complex respiratory testing, including lung function testing, sleep studies, and cardiopulmonary exercise testing.
  • Interpret and report test results, providing clear and concise recommendations for patient care.
  • Develop and deliver educational programs for patients, staff, and students, promoting best practices in respiratory care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant field, such as respiratory physiology or a related discipline.
  • HCPC/RCCP registration or eligibility for registration.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in respiratory physiology, with a strong background in clinical testing and patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and clinicians.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
