Job offer:
28.5hrs per week
Working on a rolling rota, weekend on weekend off
Opportunities for overtime at increase rate
Shift time
- 08.00 - 18.00
As cook/ kitchen assistant you will be expected to participate in delivering below:
**Purpose of the position**
1. To provide a choice of quality, highly nutritious, balanced meals for the residents catering for individual likes/dislikes and special diets.
**2. **To ensure high standards of hygiene are maintained, and H.A.C.C.P / Cooksafe guidelines adhered to.
**Principal Responsibilities**
1. Preparation and review of menus in consultation with residents.
2. To ensure daily supplies of fruit and vegetables are available and that portion sizes are appropriate.
3. Ordering of supplies, checking of deliveries and ensuring correct storage in accordance with H.A.C.C.P/ Cooksafe guidelines.
4. Daily stock control.
5. Maintenance of appropriate documentation.
6. To prepare, cook and serve meals and provide sufficient quantities of home baking for the residents.
7. To promote and maintain a hygienic working environment and ensure cleaning rota’s are adhered to and regularly reviewed.
8. Ensure samples of all food prepared are taken and stored appropriately.
