Express Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for a well-established National Domestic Abuse Helpline Service who are recruiting for a Domestic Violence Support Worker to join their Accommodation team on a temp to perm basis in order to provide risk assessed and needs led support. You will be working with each survivor, ensuring an age appropriate response in line with safeguarding policies.

Within this team, you will be required to provide a first-response to callers experiencing domestic Violence, ensuring all activity in kept confidential and records are maintained of all actions taken. You will also be attending regular case reviews and team meetings to enhance the capacity of the service.

There is an opportunity available for both full-time and part-time with this position, where part-time can offer 18.5 hours each week on a temp to perm basis. You must have an Enhanced DBS Check for this role or be willing to have one processed if successful.

**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Provide high quality casework support to women, teens and children survivors of Domestic Violence
- Carry a varied caseload, work with each survivor to support the transition to life without Domestic Violence / Abuse
- Carry out risk assessments and make relevant referrals if the survivor is high risk
- Plan and provide creative sessions, deliver therapeutic work programmes to ensure the safety and well-being of attendees
- Offer information and practical support including addressing challenging behaviours

**Skills & Experience***
- Experience of working with women and children with complex issues
- Awareness and appreciation of cultural needs within a refuge
- Willingness to process an enhanced DBS is essential for the role
- Ability to manage own caseload
- In depth understanding of safeguarding for both adults and children
