Express Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for a well-established National Domestic Abuse Helpline Service who are recruiting for a Domestic Violence Advocate to join their Specialist support team on a temp to perm basis.
Within this role you will be working alongside survivors of Domestic Abuse, offering risk assessed and needs led support. You will be required to agree individual safety support plans and advocate on their behalf to achieve a safe living environment.
There is an opportunity available for both full-time and part-time with this position, where part-time can offer 18.5 hours each week on a temp to perm basis. If you have the relevant experience and are looking to make a difference within the community then look no further, this may be your ideal role
You must have an Enhanced DBS Check for this role or be willing to have one processed if successful.
**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Provide high quality case work support to survivors of Domestic Violence
- Work closely with survivors to carry out risk and needs assessments
- Keep and maintain accurate and confidential records of work undertaken
- Contribute to survivor feedback and voice in service delivery
- Advocate on the behalf of survivors in settings including social care, housing and the health sector
**Skills & Experience***
- An Enhanced DBS or willingness to get one processed is essential for the role
- Ability to manage own caseload, working under pressure and prioritising workload
- Able to work sensitively with vulnerable clients
- In depth understanding of emotional, social and economic issues facing women affected by Domestic Violence
