Employed by Nott’s SVS Services, working in partnership with Nottingham University Hospitals Trust, this is an exciting opportunity to provide crisis support worker support to children, young people and their families who are accessing services at the Nottinghamshire Hub of the EMCYPSAS and across the East Midlands.

**Location**
Based at EMCYPSAS, Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham University Hospitals Trust and Notts SVS Services City Centre Head Office.

Some working from home is required.

**Salary**

NJC Pay scale 12 FTE £25,231 pro rata for hours worked, with an additional £35.00 per on-call shift covered, with yearly cost of living increase (if applicable)

**Hours of work**
30 hours per week. Minimum of 4 shifts per week, including some evening and weekend shifts.

The role will cover a variety of shifts which will be agreed in advance monthly to cover the 24/7 rota.

The shifts will range from Monday to Sunday shifts with shift times including:
Monday - Sunday:

- 06:00am-14:00 pm Mon-Friday (homebased)
- 14:00-22:00pm Monday-Friday (homebased)
- 09:00-19:00pm Monday-Friday (QMC Based)
- 09:00-17:00pm Saturday
- Sunday (QMC Based)
- 06:00-09:30am and 16:45-22:00 Saturday-Sunday (Homebased)
- Sleeping overnight on-call 10pm - 6am (homebased)

**Job purpose**
The experienced Children and Young Person’s Crisis Support Worker will provide sensitive, client-centered, non-judgmental support to survivors, aged 17 and under, of sexual violence. This will include providing advocacy support for clients during forensic medical examinations.

**Responsibilities**
- To work as part of the initial response team of clinicians, forensic physicians, police officers and EMCYPSAS management team to deliver a high standard of service for clients referred to EMCYPSAS by the Police or who self-refer.
- To be responsible for thorough forensic cleaning of the forensic suite following a forensic medical examination.

**Essential experience, qualifications and skills**
- Evidence of extensive professional experience of working with children and young people in a supporting capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of issues experienced by children and young people and in particular in relation to sexual violence and safeguarding.
- A thorough understanding of safeguarding issues, policies and procedures.
- Experience of working in a multi-agency setting and partnerships working with a wide range of statutory and voluntary agencies.
