**Job Description**:
As a Technical Officer Operative, you will be responsible for executing repair and refurbishment tasks efficiently and to a high standard. Your role will involve leveraging your core building trade skills while complementing them with additional trade activities to ensure timely completion of maintenance works. You will conduct property inspections, coordinate specialist repairs, and carry out essential tests to uphold compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct monthly property and maintenance inspections, promptly addressing repair and replacement needs to achieve first-time fix outcomes.
- Coordinate specialist repairs such as gas and electrical works with colleagues to ensure efficient resolution of maintenance issues.
- Perform Fire Alarm and Emergency Lighting tests in HMO properties, including Legionella water temperature checks.
- Identify and report housing management follow-up requirements promptly, addressing issues related to occupancy, safety, and property maintenance.
- Utilise handheld devices for electronic reporting of tasks, inspections, stock control, and documentation.
- Maintain company assets in good condition and report damages or issues to supervisors.
- Participate in training sessions and meetings as required to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Provide accurate estimates of completion time for ongoing tasks and additional contract requirements.

**Person Specification**:
Essential Criteria:

- Qualified in at least one trade discipline (e.g., Carpentry & Joinery, Plumbing, Electrical, etc.).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a multi-skilled trade environment, demonstrating proficiency in executing repair and maintenance tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and clients.
- Proficient in using handheld devices for electronic reporting and documentation.
- Possession of a full and current driving license.

**Preferred Criteria**:

- Demonstrable experience in three or more trade disciplines, showcasing versatility and proficiency in various maintenance tasks.
- More than 3 years' post-trade qualification experience in each trade discipline.
- Excellent numeracy skills and ability to follow standard operating procedures accurately and efficiently.

Additional Information:
