The Warehouse Operator performs all warehouse processes across BRDO, specifically Glendronach, Benriach, MacDuff and Glenglassaugh. The position requires self-managed, self-directed personnel. The operator will be cross-trained in all aspects of the warehouse operation and is expected to have the ability to complete the job at hand in a safe, efficient, and quality-oriented manner. The Warehouse Operator is also expected to maintain equipment, trouble-shoot problems, follow directions and procedures, possess a positive attitude in the presence of the public and work well with other operators.

**Responsibilities**:
- Performs various duties within the Warehouse Department including the filling of barrels, dumping of barrels, entry into warehouses, regauge activities, barrel selection, barrel repair, and sample collecting.- Maintains and improves the condition of the warehouses and related facilities through dunnage work, cleaning and sanitation.- Promote accident prevention by adhering to all safety guidelines and standards, actively participating in all required training, identifying, communicating and eliminating potential hazards and maintaining consistent communication with the Warehouse Foreman and Spirit Logistics Manager.- Perform daily pre-shift FLT checks in accordance with SOP- Adhere to all PPE guidelines.- Contribute to a team environment, providing support to other areas of the operation as needed and adapting to change in a positive and professional manner- Communicate in a professional and respectful manner at all times and to all colleagues, contractors and visitors- Demonstrate strong relationship building skills- Actively seek diverse points of view to help make decisions and solve problems- Effectively and professionally work with people from a wide range of backgrounds/skills- Complete housekeeping and sanitation duties, per schedule- Participate in monthly and annual housekeeping and sanitation audits in partnership with Quality Control

Job Requirements:
- Relevant experience in a manufacturing operation or in an environment that requires hands-on skills.- Naturally inclined to work in a safe manner, following procedures, using appropriate PPE and looking out for own and colleague’s welfare.-
- Capable of trouble-shooting process and technical issues as they arise.- Demonstrated ability to perform in a self-directed and self-motivated environment.- Will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment including steel-toed shoes as a condition of employment.- Ability to work flexible schedule and overtime to meet demands.- Complete in-house and external training programs when required.- Fork Lift Driver’s licence would be advantageous (or training will be provided).
