Warehouse Supervisor

**Rule Purpose**:Responsible for supporting the Section leader in the management of the Mid-shift warehouse teams, supporting the Warehouse Operation to ensure that standards and deadlines are always met.
**Hours**:Evening shift-Monday to Thursday: 14:30- 23:15, Friday: 14:30- Finish (21:00).
**Accountable to**:Midshift Warehouse Section Leader
**Accountable for**: Warehouse Functions, picking, loading, admin.
**Key Relationships**:Warehouse Section Leaders, Operations Lead’s, Direct reports & key stakeholder across wider teams.

**Responsibilities**
- Promoting a positive working environment with the warehouse team, promoting an efficient and results focused environment.
- Take positive action to optimize costs across warehouse operations.
- Support Section Leader in picker performance, loading, invoicing, MHE utilization.
- Ensure availability, quality standards and safety of products and act on complaints to improve customer service.
- Support Section leader with team management, upkeep of payroll record and absence management.
- Effectively allocate, manage, and maximize resources across warehouse operations.
- Support Section Leader with completion of regular progress reports on productivity and performance across warehouse operations.
- Driving a strong H&S culture and behavioural mindset. Ensure all operations are run according to best practice in Health & Safety, and as per company policies and procedures and legislation.
- Ensuring internal customer expectations are met.
- Identifying team talent, developing team members, and driving exceptional people performance.
- Supporting in Administration functions, utilizing WMS system to maximise efficiency within the warehouse.
- Identifying and involving team members in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to maintain and promote good recordkeeping & legislative practices, and an understanding of the importance of excellent internal operating procedures.
- Demonstrable passion and commitment to delivering outstanding service to customers and colleagues.
- Drive all Lean activities within the operations team.
- Support the recruitment, selection and evaluation processes of your teams.
- Flexibility in your approach and ability to adapt to ad-hoc tasks in a fast paced environment

**Essential Criteria**

- Grade C in GCSE Maths and English
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Packages
- Experience in LEAN processes and 6S
- **Keeping it simple - **_
- +2 years’ experience in a similar position
- Proven ability to develop and empower Team members to deliver results for the operation and business.
- A proven track record of operations experience with a significant part of this served at team leader level.
- Experience on using powered MHE, LLOPS, FLT’s

**Desired Criteria**
- Experience of employee relations such as training and development.
- Understanding of warehouse management systems
- Willingness to undertake staff training and development as required
- Qualification in Supervisory Management
- A - level Qualifications or equivalent
- MHE licence’s
- HACCP/TACCP
- BRC experience
