**JOB OVERVIEW**

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Supply Chain Planning Manager with experience in a complex environment managing variables including planning, demand and replenishment processes, who has great organisational skills and the ability to createstrong and trusted relationships with colleagues.

The Supply Chain Planning Manager will be accountable for all aspects of the planning of dogs within the Charity’s Academy. The role will work in partnership, aligning with operational supply planning to ensure overall short, mid and long-term planning isdone well.

As the Supply Chain Planning Manager your primary focus is enabling every Guide Dog Mobility Specialist and Academy Dog Trainer to reach competency by ensuring they have the right dog, at the right time, helping them to succeed in becoming qualified professionals.

**DUTIES**

Your duties and responsibilities as the Supply Chain Planning Manager will include:

- Lead on the management of the planning of the dogs required, including intake of dogs and provision of class ready dogs through effective collaboration with the Head of Supply Chain, puppy raising department, Regional Academy Manager’s, Heads of CanineAssisted Services (CAS) and CAS Operations Managers
- Re-allocation of dogs within to maintain self-supply where possible
- National approach to movement of dogs
- Liaise with the Puppy Raising department ensuring the required supply and standard of puppies are available
- Maintain overview of all dogs and check adherence to all relevant policies and procedures
- Attend regional Puppy Intake meetings to support allocation of learner dogs
- Collaboration with local CAS OPS Managers/Heads of Canine Assisted Services to ensure there is planned movement of dogs into/out of Academy to meet learner or service objectives
- Collate data for all academy dogs via use of Salesforce and ensure all data is accurate and up to date
- Support recruitment in the Academy as required
- Understand the long term capacity requirements of learners coming into the Academy so that the correct volume of dogs (Academy supply chain) can be planned and managed
- Analyse, review and recommend the required capacity/needs to successfully deliver, guide and support the Academy learners
- Ensure alignment with regional production plans to work towards the annual flow of dogs to ensure "even flow"
- Identify productivity improvements at all stages of the planning cycle
- Produce accurate and timely reports on dog flow
- Work in collaboration with Operational Leaders to ensure data and insights about Academy dog flow align to the wider dog supply chain, maximising success of all dogs

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**
- GCSEs grade C or above in Maths & English, or equivalent
- Understanding of the Guide Dog journey and associated job roles
- Experience in a complex environment to achieve targets while working with a range of stakeholders
- Experience in managing variables inherent in dog supply and delivering sufficient numbers to accommodate
- Demonstrable understanding of dog flow within a support dog organisational environment
- Knowledge of dog supply including planning, demand, and replenishment processes
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel and other planning tools
- Computer literate with advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite
- Highly motivated towards a service user/customer focussed service
- Experienced with Salesforce and/or CARE CRM
- Eligibility to work in the UK
