About The Role

We are excited to announce openings for several Supply Chain Risk Specialists to join our team on a Full-Time, Permanent basis.

In this role, you will assist the Supply Chain Risk Manager in evaluating and analyzing the performance of National Grid's supply chain, providing valuable insights to Global Procurement Leadership and Category Teams.

As National Grid leads the transition to a Net Zero future in the UK and Northeast USA, we recognize the challenges ahead in decarbonizing our energy systems. Our significant investment plans over the next five years highlight the opportunities for growth and transformation within our industry.

Given the current landscape, our supply chains face unique challenges that are integral to our strategic goals, placing National Grid Procurement at the forefront of our Net Zero initiatives. Our transformation strategy focuses on three key areas:

What You'll Do

This position will deliver current and predictive insights on category, supplier, and market risks, fostering a deeper understanding that drives continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include:

Engaging with key stakeholders to identify and support category strategies, providing supply chain risk insights that generate immediate and long-term value. Developing solutions that leverage existing tools while proposing new opportunities for transparency and evaluation of National Grid's Supply Chain. Regularly reporting insights to supplier relationship managers and the global procurement leadership team, focusing on supply chain risks and market insights. Analyzing internal and external data to enhance category intelligence and support actionable decision-making. Improving the global perspective on the performance of National Grid's critical supply chain to identify and address risks and opportunities. Implementing processes for performance data analysis to initiate continuous improvement measures. Managing real-time supply chain risk transparency to support effective procurement operations.

About You

Strong relationship-building skills across all levels of the organization, including senior management. Experienced in global market analysis with the ability to create impactful presentations that support procurement strategies. Proficient in developing information intelligence processes that identify current states and forecast market opportunities. Background in supply chain management, global sourcing, and market analysis within enterprise environments. Self-motivated and resourceful, with a solid understanding of market analysis tools and data management.
