Supply Chain Manager Opportunity

This is a fantastic chance to join a leading business in the Warwickshire area that is on an exciting trajectory. The company is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize the supply chain function, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and strong customer service levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and align capacity and demand to deliver the best possible service and On Time Delivery.
  • Communicate production capacity targets and anticipate peak and trough demand variation to stakeholders.
  • Plan production and stock buffers to balance production throughput time with customer lead time.
  • Work with the Raw Material Buyer to identify consignment stock and Kanban for Runners and Repeaters.
  • Review targets and capacity shortfalls with Production managers on a regular basis.
  • Update and maintain logistics slides within the monthly review and forecast meeting.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement processes and contribute to modifying internal procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Validate ERP settings to meet local budget inventory targets.
  • Lead customer and internal site audits and prepare required chart and process documentation.
  • Consider production targets and constraints in the budget process with the Financial Controller.
  • Recommend amending pricing codes and lead times for disruptive parts and/or excessive capacity.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards in Supply Chain and Procurement activities.
  • Develop strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations.
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts.
  • Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and manage stock levels.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical, forecasting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of an MRP/ERP system and its parameters.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability/potential to lead a team.
What We Offer:
