**About our Home**

Marian House was officially opened by Cardinal Hulme on the 11th February 1988 in response to the increasing care needs of frail, elderly Sisters of the Sisters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary CIO, who both own and manage the residence. It is a modern, purpose built Care Home, situated in beautiful, landscaped gardens in Uxbridge, Middlesex which offers a very pleasant, homely environment to all residents. Marian House welcomes Sisters of others Religious Congregations as well as its own members. A full-time Roman Catholic Priest Chaplain celebrates the Eucharist each day for Sisters and staff.

**MAIN DUTIES**
- To work closely with the Registered Care Manager to ensure that the finances for Marian House are in order and budgets are adhered to.

**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Payroll and Bookkeeping/Accounts**
- Ensure all employees are paid correctly and on time and relevant HMRC processing is completed in a timely manner
- Liaise with pension providers regarding pension contributions
- Complete the day-to-day bookkeeping
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations
- Monitor the budgets frequently and analyse findings to report back to the Registered Care Manager

**Other**
- Ensure that all goods and suppliers are paid in a timely manner
- Ensure that all outgoings are documented with proof of payment obtained
- Prepare cheques for signature with supporting documentation
- Run year end procedures and prepare all reports relating to the accounts
- Produce draft accounts and prepare books and documentation for the auditors
- Liaise with auditors, respond to queries, comment on their draft accounts and ensure that audited accounts are prepared on time.

**General**
- To communicate professionally, effectively and accurately, both verbally and in written form with a wide variety of persons
- Undertake and comply with training, relevant to the role and the needs of the business.
- Follow the Organisation’s policies and procedures.
- Additional tasks as and when required

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 per week
