Job Title : Band 2 Clerical Officer - Craigavon
Location : Craigavon
Duration : 6 - 9 Months
Rate : 10.37 p/h
Hours : 37.5 hpw
The postholder will be required to carry out a range of duties which may include all or some of the following:
- KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepare Case notes for outpatient clinics and day cases for Company Services.
2. Retrieve clinical records for as necessary for Company Services.
3. Deal with general enquiries regarding case note retrieval and storage issues within Services/Mandeville Unit and liaise with a variety of staff regarding same.
4. Operate the Patient Administration System (PAS), Patient Centre, RISOH (Regional Information System for Oncology & Haematology) and other IT systems relevant for the post, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
5. File clinical information into patient’s medical records such as results, clinic letters, referrals.
6. Prepare clinic lists for nursing/medical staff.
7. Maintain, update and file departmental records.
8. Undertake a full range of clerical duties including photocopying, scanning and filing
9. Provide cover in Mandeville Unit reception, when required which will include meeting, greeting & checking in patients
10. Making outpatient appointments on PAS as necessary
11. Take responsibility for requisitioning and maintaining a supply of stationery as required.
12. Liaise with appropriate members of staff within the company as well as external agencies, members of the public and if appropriate, patients / clients to ensure an accurate, smooth running and comprehensive service.
13. Provide cover in absence of Band 3 if required.
14. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by Line ManagerThe postholder will be required to carry out a range of duties which may include all or some of the following:
- Reception duties.
- Use of computer systems to include data input and retrieval of information.
- Maintenance of filing systems.
- Processing mail.
- Processing and collating information.
- Taking and relaying messages/information.
- Dealing with a range of queries
- Preparation and transportation of medical and other records.
- Making appointments.
- Arranging meetings.
- General office duties such as photocopying and faxing.
1. 4 GCSEs at Grades A-C including English Language or equivalent / higher qualification
OR
1 years’ experience in a clerical / administrative role
2. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel or equivalent
