Orri is an ambitious, young, fast-growing company committed to changing the way we treat eating disorders in the UK. The Intake Assessor role is a dynamic post supporting a fast-paced and busy admissions team.

The Eating Disorders Intake Specialist role is a unique and dynamic role within the Admissions team at Orri. Leaning into excellent communication skills and a strong knowledge of psychology and mental health, with a preference for eating disorder experience, the post holder will support clients in their journey into treatment.

The Intake Specialist's role is to conduct comprehensive admissions assessments for prospective clients exploring treatment with Orri. The assessments span from 60 to 120 minutes and cover a wide scope of exploring details related to the client's current and historic presentation, mental health and medical diagnoses/ considerations, comprehensive dietetic assessment, personal and family history, safeguarding considerations, historic and active risks, etc.

The post holder should be someone who embodies the values of Orri, can conduct themself in a professional and compassionate manner, and is able to hold a safe space for the prospective client to feel comfortable and supported. Beyond the assessments themselves, the Intake Assessor works collaboratively with the wider Admissions and Clinical teams to ensure appropriate treatment recommendations are formulated for each prospective client.

The post holder should have strong clinical note taking and reporting skills, as well as team collaboration and communication skills. The post holder will be expected to engage with monthly supervision sessions for their personal wellbeing and professional development.

Main duties and responsibilities:

- To conduct comprehensive intake assessments for prospective clients exploring treatment with Orri
- To handle personal information and shared client experiences with the upmost sensitivity and professionalism
- To facilitate a safe and compassionate space for clients to discuss their experiences and associated challenges
- To demonstrate empathy, patience and kindness
- To uphold the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion for all clients
- To liaise with the wider admissions and clinical teams to present assessment overview in order to formulate the recommended treatment programme
- To utilise Orri systems effectively and correctly while upholding principles of GDPR

Desired skills and expertise:

- Experience working with individuals with mental health conditions
- Knowledge of eating disorders preferred, but not essential
- Knowledge of safeguarding principles
- Proficient in clinical note writing and recording
- Orri operates a smoke free policy on all premises and grounds._

**Salary**: £21,940.38-£77,490.15 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
