Commercial Scheduling Team Leader - Distribution and National Copy

**Reporting of the Role**:
This role reports to the Commercial Scheduling Director

**Overview of job**:
This role is to lead the Distribution and National Copy Teams that sits within the Commercial Scheduling Dept. You will work as part of the team and also take responsibility when escalation occurs.

This is a senior role within the team. You will be responsible for the quality of your team’s output, as well as the development of team knowledge and expertise. You will support and lead by example and ensure top level service is provided by Distribution and NC team whilst adhering to department, Global and industry standards.

You will work as part of the Management Team within the Commercial Scheduling Dept leading the Distribution and National Copy Team. You will ensure work quality is upheld & process and procedures are followed, reviewed, and that customer service levels are held to our high standard.

**Measures of success -**

**In the first few months, you would have**:

- Oversee planning and prioritisation of team’s work duties.
- Established your own leadership within the team.
- Founded working relationships with CS Management Team & sub teams.
- Contributed to improvement of process and procedures, both within the Team & Dept.
- Ensure Distribution and NC teams delivers the highest levels of service to both internal and external customers.
- Detailed understanding on how each team within Scheduling comes together to achieve overall objectives.

**Responsibilities of the role**:

- Ongoing establishment and implementation of any training needs for the Distribution and National Copy Team.
- To hold regular developmental Team and 1:1 meetings to ensure high level of team, departmental and company expertise.
- Ensure all internal and external deadlines are met.
- Abide by and ensure delivery of all Global and externally set commercial requirements & regulations.
- Work alongside Commercial Scheduling Management Team & Sub Teams to preserve, align & develop procedure & process.
- Provide first line response for OOH issues that cover departmental commercial responsibilities, and within a timely manner.
- Ensure you are proactive in your continuing career development with a view to giving the best possible support to yourself, your team and colleagues.
- Regularly look at process and practice within the team to ensure efficient service.

**What you will need**:

- Previous experience in leading a team.
- Experience on working with copy instructions, allocation and audio rotations.
- Experience with assessing all externally made audio to ensure it meets our internal Global standards and external industry regulations.
- Fundamental knowledge of Commercial Scheduling business systems and processes.
- Understanding of Commercial Audio regulatory bodies and codes.
- Experience managing & prioritising team workload.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Coaching and developmental approach to leadership.
- Natural drive to support the team and finding solutions to customer challenges.
- Hard-working and articulate, whilst being motivated by a need to help others.
- Contribute positively to the team, department and success of the company.
- Ability to hold difficult conversations.
- Self-Motivated with a positive nature to accept feedback and improve performance.
