We are excited to be helping our global production and consultation agency find an ambitious Global Finance & Operations Director.

The Role of the Global Finance & Operations Director

The primary responsibility of the Global Finance & Operations Director is to ensure that the company operates correctly within each territory, is financially robust and that the processes and systems operating from procurement through to staff utilisationand opening new offices is correctly managed to enable the company to maximise its revenue and profits. This person will be commercially minded and support the owners and senior board in raising finance for it’s new tech platform launch whilst maintainingfinancial security within the rest of the business.

The Global Finance & operations Director must be able to clearly communicate the performance of the group - and its component companies - to key stakeholders, providing strategy and analysis on all financial aspects of operation, trade and growth. The individualwill be responsible for supporting the companies Owners and SMT to achieve an exit over the coming years.

The Global Finance & Operations Director will be someone who
- Has good international exposure within an Advertising or Media production agency
- An understanding of operating in different jurisdictions
- Great at producing simple to understand Dash boards allowing clear understanding of the business performance
- Have a good strategic understanding and good business partnering skills to work with the CEO
- Strong understanding of Project resourcing & Client procurement
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
- Strong communications - Written and Spoken
- Good commercial acumen
- Understanding of raising Finance within a highly dynamic business would be ideal
- Is passionate, excited and motivated by exponential growth
- Is excited by international expansion and developing product set
- Has maturity, experience and character to define, challenge and drive strategy.
- Prepared to roll their sleeves up and muck-in from the start
- Ideally you will have an understanding of Adtech/Advertising production
- Previous experience of getting a company ready for a sale
- Support the vision and business planning exercise
- Be knowledgeable or have experience of what is required for the company to be in a positive place for exit.

General
- Provide proactive & commercial strategic financial recommendations to allow growth
- Ensure that the business is financially sound and that the finances are managed robustly in line with the agreed business plans.
- Support the Business leaders & Client leads to manage client procurement negotiations and ongoing financial health of the client account
- Manage a multi-location, multi business group including but not limited to London, NY, Shanghai, South America, Australia, Germany together with individuals is the Far East
- Support the Management team with Funding negotiations for their new tech Platform

Business Planning, Operations and Budgetary Control
- Prepare a groups annual budget, cash forecast, revenue forecast and capital expenditure budget.
- Partner with Business leads and Senior shareholders to prepare local business plans providing proactive, strategic financial advice to improve profitability, plan future growth, allocate resources and reduce costs.
- Responsible for the overall profitability of the group ensuring that this is correctly reported by region business and cost centre.
- Communicate key financial & Operational messages and issues in a proactive, transparent and concise manner to ensure all business stake holders and managers are aware of issues (both positive and negative) impacting on the finances & Operations of the group.
- Continual improvement of the accounting and business management processes in existing and new local markets maximising such things as group Profit, tax and efficiencies of resource both for the current group and for its future growth.
- Oversee a budgetary control system monitor actual data against approved budgets and analyse any variances.

Client Servicing and Relationships
- Create a commercial environment for client leaders & executive producers’, ensuring they/you maximize profitability through contract negotiations and gatekeeping of the workflows and time costs
- Partner with the relevant managers in analysing clients’ P&L and fee calculations and improving commercial understanding.
- Ensure that the company is making the best decisions in relation to foreign currency transactions
- Manage transfer pricing

Finance and Accounting & Treasury
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and adhering to relevant deadlines
- Oversee the accurate preparation and reporting of the business forecasting in terms of fees and costs linked back to the agency KPIs
- Review the monthly and quarterly financial statements in advance of circulation and present the financial data to the CEO in headline format analysing the key group facts and variances.
- Use financial analysis and information to proactively solve problems, make recommendations and provide solutions
- Oversee and manage the Finance team (3) to ensure they perform to their best abilities
- Define, manage and drive KPIs for all finance team personnel
- Ensure transfer pricing is managed correctly
- Ensure all foreign transactions are properly managed and hedged where necessary
