**Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 - 16:30**

Reed Leeds Business Support are currently recruiting on behalf of an award-winning Manufacture based in Leeds. Our client is seeking to add a Shipping export administrator to their friendly team on a permanent basis.

This exciting opportunity will be to ensure customer’s and stockists are supplied from the UK manufacturing base, “on time” and in an economic manner, to the satisfaction of the customer, in accordance with specific order entry requirements whilst adheringto international export regulation.

**Duties will include**:

- Issue sales quotations to new and existing customers tailored to the individual enquiry
- Calculating the price of products and obtaining freight charges where necessary
- Plan and enter sales orders to a high level of accuracy, liaising with the relevant departments regarding stock availability or manufacturing schedules
- Ensuring that customers and overseas stockists’ requirements are met, and products are supplied on time
- Produce clear and concise instructions, issued to all affected contact points, both internal and external to ensure orders meet the customer’s delivery requirements
- Negotiate freight costs with selective carriers taking into account cost, reliability and service
- Plan and arrange the despatch of international sales orders via sea, road and air
- Provide detailed and accurate shipping documents including instructions and calculations for export customs entries to the relevant carrier
- Produce the relevant export documentation based on the customer / stockists requirements or country specific regulations. This includes (but is not limited to) Invoices, Packing Lists, Insurance Certificates, Certificates of Origin, EUR1 and Letters of Credit
- Provide general customer service including handling and processing customer complaints through the internal quality management system ensuring that corrective and preventive actions are established
- Develop contacts with overseas agents / stockists where appropriate, to facilitate deliveries in a timely and economic manner and therefore improve customer service and satisfaction
- Assist with Remote Store order processing when necessary or other task as requested by Sales Order Office Manager, or Sales Director

**Experience Requirements**:

- Export documents and procedures Specific previous experience within an Export environment [Manufacturer or Freight Forwarder] - relevant professional qualification would be a distinct advantage
- Arranging international shipments via sea, air and road
- Knowledge of rules of origin (desired)
- Sales order processing & customer service
- Experience in shipping dangerous goods (desired)
- Windows including word / outlook / excel [Basic Level]
- Communication both verbal and written to all levels. This will enable the post holder to deal with difficult situations tactfully and efficiently
