Culture and Belonging Co-ordinator

Remote, United Kingdom VoiceAbility Full time

Here at VoiceAbility we’ve been supporting people to have their say in decisions about their health, care, and wellbeing for almost 40 years. We make sure people are heard when it matters most.

We want this to be as true internally as it is externally. To this end, we are seeking a Culture and Belonging Co-ordinator to support us on our journey. It’s a really exciting time to be joining as we embark on our culture change programme. We recognise that change is required across all levels of our organisation and that this will take strong individual and collective leadership. This role will support our Culture and Belonging Lead in achieving this.

We know that we need to challenge ourselves to continue to change and improve. We need to harness the individual strengths of our team to stand together in opposition to all forms of discrimination by action and evidence and not just by words.

With increasingly remote working environments, we must also consider how we can enable a greater sense of belonging. Our teams need to be able to work in collaborative ways outside of their usual environments and to be able to feel part of a wider organisational culture.

We’d love for you to come and join us on our journey.

This role is home-based, with occasional travel to support business need.

**About us**

VoiceAbility is an independent charity and one of the UK’s largest providers of advocacy and involvement services. We deliver a wide range of service contracts funded by local authorities, health trusts and other voluntary and private sector organisations.

**About the role**

This role will be responsible for supporting the Culture and Belonging Lead to deliver initiatives and projects focused on bringing about cultural change at VoiceAbility. Working with Employee Groups and employees across the organisation, co-ordinating activities and supporting them to move culture forward positively, the role will include (but not be limited to):

- Working in partnership with VoiceAbility’s employee groups to organise and coordinate our cultural change and Belonging activities.
Supporting the co-ordination and organisation of the National Employee Forum.
- Responsible for the development and organisation of employee events and conferences which will engage, empower and integrate employee voice across the organisation on Culture and Belonging initiatives.
- Supporting the Culture and Belonging Lead in cultural change initiatives across the organisation and for each individual employee or volunteer.
- Gathering and reporting on data as directed by the Culture and Belonging Lead, building reports and presenting data as required.
- Supporting the Culture and Belonging Lead with the implementation of communications plans as well as being responsible for intranet updates.

**About you**

We are seeking an individual with previous experience of working on EDI or cultural change projects in a collaborative manner. It is also essential that you have previous experience of working with Employee Groups and supporting the development of ‘Employee voice’ within an organisation. To do this, you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a high level of professionalism and integrity.

Reporting on data, and the ability to manage a workload with multiple priorities, are also essential as this role will be supporting projects and working with Employee Groups across VoiceAbility. Experience of managing and organising events, although not vital, would be a distinct advantage.

If you have a CIPD Level 3 that would be great, but not essential. It’s more important that you are someone who has a good knowledge of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion and/or organisational culture change.

**What will you receive?**

You will have plenty of opportunities to enhance your abilities and will make a real difference every day.

You will also receive:

- 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rata)
- 5% employer pension contribution
- Salary sacrifice pension scheme
- Separate Life Assurance Cover
- Staff discount scheme including retail discounts, entertainment, holidays etc
- Discounted Gym Membership; Employee Assistance programme.
- Supportive working environment fostering a good work/life balance.

**Want to know more about VoiceAbility and the role?**

Please contact Claire Mills, Director of People, at

**How to apply**

Don’t forget to read the full job description and person specification so you can tell us about yourself and how your skills, abilities and experiences match the role and criteria outlined.

**Equality and Diversity**

VoiceAbility believes in fostering an inclusive workplace which welcomes, values and celebrates the diversity of its staff and partners, treats all on a basis of equality and encourages all to meet their maximum potential.
