This is a full-time position - 40 hours per week Monday-Friday, hours ranging from 8am-5pm and 930am-630pm with a 1 in 6 Saturday morning shifts.

You must have your own transport and be able to work at 2 of our branches (Newbury and Thatcham)

As a Head Receptionist, you will provide a friendly and efficient service to our clients and their animals as well as supporting the receptionist team.

We are a professional and pleasant team working in a very stimulating and busy environment, which makes the role varied, interesting and no day is ever the same

As Head Receptionist, you will also be responsible for managing the reception team, as well as:
Ensuring that there is appropriate staff coverage on the different shifts to enable an efficient and smooth running of front of house, including rota management.

To ensure that reception staff are appropriately trained to the best of their abilities and in accordance with practice protocols and procedures.

To ensure sick / absence is appropriately managed and to cover accordingly.

To take an active role in diary management to ensure that errors and anomalies are corrected.

We are looking for someone who has excellent communication and organisational skills as well as strong leadership skills. Previous receptionist or customer facing experience is essential. You will need to have the ability to remain calm under pressure and also show empathy towards everything that is thrown at you, from sharing the excitement of a puppy's first visit to the vets or comforting a client who has received some bad news.

The starting salary for this position will be from £23,000 depending on experience.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Up to £24,000.00 per year
