**WE Talent** are working with an Educational establishment in Chelmsford who are recruiting for a **Student Support Officer** to support their residential students.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is a confident relationship builder with a background in youth work.

Enhancing the students experience, you will be able to prioritise well-being whilst maintaining professionalism.

**Responsibilities**
- Providing support for residential students both face to face and over the telephone for out of hours cover
- Responding to and addressing anti-social behaviour issues and complaints
- Monitor students for wellbeing and behaviours
- Listen, support, identify concerns and signpost to internal or external partners as required
- Work with the team to provide a schedule of evening events and activities for students
- Contribute to the marketing and social media channels for the team
- Produce reports and maintain records utilising night time shifts for administration whilst providing telephone support

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in youth support (16-18 and upwards)
- Strong relationship building skills (internal and external)
- A confident communicator able to converse with all levels of seniority
- Good administrative and report writing skills
- Confident to establish positive boundaries

**The Details**
- 8 hour shifts between 3pm and 6am - note the pattern is 4 on and 4 off. You must be available to work during these times and this will include weekends. Rota supplied well in advance
- Term time only September to June
- Strong team support and training
- Must have own transport and ideally live in close proximity (note we are not offering relocation and there is no accommodation available)
