Technical Services Ltd is an established heating, ventilation, refrigeration and air conditioning contractor with particular experience in catering and leisure operations. We design and install bespoke systems in demanding environments. Located in Newbury, Berkshire, we are seeking a trainee office administrator to join our friendly office team, helping with office support for our service team and directors. This is an excellent opportunity to gain all round experience in an office environment in a role that is pivotal to our team.
The role requires strong IT skills with a particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel. Full training will be provided on our IT systems and for the range of duties.
**Responsibilities**
- Scheduling and booking engineers
- Keeping our scheduling records up-to-date
- Answering the office telephone
- Producing quotations
- Arranging appointments for maintenance jobs
- Ordering and returning parts
- Managing paper and electronic filing accurately
- Working as part of our team, providing cover in the office providing any other administrative duties as required.
**Requirements**:
- Experience in the use of MS Office Products - Word, Excel and Outlook
- Good customer service skills dealing with the public both directly and by phone
- Confident professional manner
- Good general education including Maths and English GCSE grade A-C/4-9
- Good attention to detail, prioritisation and time management skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Strong communication skills in both verbal and written English
- Good initiative
- Flexibility
- Ability to work under pressure
