Trainee Auditor

Due to the success of previous trainees who have progressed, a major group of distribution companies are looking for a bright, ambitious and analytical graduate (or someone with a few years commercial experience) to join their Head Office team in Newbury. This is an exciting opportunity to join a £1 billion group, with 9 leading businesses, who are passionate about developing in-house talent.
**Role Responsibilities**
As a Trainee Auditor, you will:
- Be part of the operational audit team, working alongside a team of professional auditors who will help and support you in your professional development
- Learn about auditing all areas of the business, including stock take, sales, health and safety operations, business processes and finance
- Shadow other experienced Auditors in the team and work with the Director of Compliance
- Go on operational visits travelling regularly across the UK, conducting stock-taking, analysing the business processes, checking for fraud and preparing reports
- Be provided with the opportunity to complete additional qualifications to be successful as you progress

In addition to the top training provided (specialist audit training, skills training in various business fields, one-on-one mentoring), as a Trainee Auditor you can also expect the following benefits:
- Starting salary between £23,000 - £27,000 (depending on experience)
- An uncapped profit share bonus (on average £1,000 end of first full year, £2,000-£2,500 in year two and £3,500 in third year)
- After initial training period, this will be a field-based operational audit role, involving UK travel with a package including a smartphone, laptop and company car
- Opportunity to meet, liaise with and learn from successful managers within the business
- Optional membership of the company pension scheme
**Requirements**:
We’re looking for an analytical and driven individual who is:
- Either a graduate with an interest in business, accountancy and operations, or someone with existing experience in a role related to business, operations or compliance who would like to move into audit
- Determined and personable with excellent communication skills
- Able to work towards deadlines and has a critical eye for fact-checking
- Willing to travel extensively throughout the UK
- Switched-on, motivated and enthusiastic
- Computer literate with some understanding of Excel
- A quick learner with excellent numeracy and literacy skills
- Well-presented and able to impress at business meetings
