**Loan Closer (Assistant Vice President)**

**Position Overview**:
As a Jefferies Loan Closer, you will be maintaining a diverse portfolio of LMA loan trades from trade date through to settlement/closing. You will be progressing a high volume of both par and distressed trades and ensuring effective client service at all times. You will be required to work as part of a team effectively whilst being self-directed and hands-on in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Drafting and reviewing of LMA trade documents.
- Ability to close across trading portfolio including but not limited to, Distressed, Private Equity, Private Notes and Trade Claims Products and CLO’s.
- Liaising with trade counterparties, agent banks, legal counsel, both internal and external as required to ensure documents are in order, for a smooth and efficient settlement.
- Reviewing of Credit Agreements to assess transferability requirements and restrictions.
- Liaising with the Operations trade settlements team to instruct the settlement of trades.
- Keeping Management and the loan sales and trading desk of potential issues with trade settlements.
- Escalation where needed.at all times Good understanding of Restructurings/Corporate Actions and Public/Private segregation
- Projects including market/regulations and to improve departmental model and efficiencies

**Qualifications**

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance
- 5 Years’ experience to include great understanding of the LMA Standard Terms and Conditions and industry practices of Loan Closing and Operations.
- Excellent client service both internally and externally
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic with the ability to multitask
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborator, reliable and have desire to improve themselves and our department
- Organized, able to work in a high pressure environment with the ability to manage heavy workload to tight deadlines
- Demonstrate operational risk and control awareness
- Experience and understanding of clearpar/markit and debt domain/syndtrak
