- **Hours**:0.5 to 2 days per week, flexible

Redknot Campers is looking for an experienced and motivated Book keeper to help us manage our financial transactions and administrative processes in our growing campervan conversion business.

As a Bookkeeper you will be tasked with maintaining records in our financial system (Xero), collecting and issuing invoices, tracking debits and maintaining and monitoring financial records. You will also pay invoices, support the filing of tax returns, and manage general oce administration including placing orders and ensuring stock maintenance.

**Your typical activities will include**:

- Recording financial transactions in Xero
- Processing invoices (accounts payable and receivable)
- Issuing invoices to customers
- Ensuring invoices are matched and reconciled with bills to pay
- Preparing and issuing purchase orders or processing online web orders with suppliers
- Progress chasing suppliers
- Maintaining office supplies including keeping an inventory
- Providing administrative support as needed
- Answering phones and dealing with customer enquiries as needed.
- Ensure you work in accordance with health and safety requirements at all times.

**Required Skills & Experience**
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
**Essential**
- Experience of using accounting software or financial business systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or other similar systems or demonstrable experience (such as spreadsheet/database) of financial control and a willingness to learn XERO.
- Highly organised and structured in approach
- Good computer literacy skills including spreadsheets and word processing programmes
- Confident in communicating with a variety of suppliers and customers
- Ability to pay close attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Honest and trustworthy
- Confident in challenging existing ways of doing things
- Willingness to uphold Redknot values

**Desirable**
- 2+ years’ experience working as a bookkeeper.
- NVQ Level 4 or AAT Technician qualification or equivalent experience demonstrating knowledge of accounting.
- General understanding of health and safety in the workplace requirements.
- Familiar with google suite of tools such as GMail, Sheets, Docs and Slides
- Enjoys a fast paced work environment with plenty of variety.
