**About us**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Senior Teaching and Learning Administrator in the Department of Space and Climate Physics, University College London. The Department is a research and teaching department, with a particular emphasis on space instrumentation. Staff participate in international space science missions by providing custom instrumentation, hardware and/or software products and also by exploiting and interpreting the scientific aspects of the data that the missions obtain. The Department is therefore a centre of astrophysics, space science and engineering expertise. To support these projects, a wide range of skills in technology management have been developed in the Department, and the Technology Management Group (TMG) is a focus for these skills. The Department offers four MSc programmes (MSc in Space Science and Engineering, MSc in Systems Engineering Management, MSc in Technology Management and an MSc in Management of Complex projects). In addition the Department runs an Apprenticeship MSc in Systems Engineering which commenced in September 2019 and an MSc Apprenticeship in Transformation Leadership which commenced in September 2020. The TMG oversees the running of the Department’s three MSc programmes as well as the two Apprenticeship programmes. The Education Administration Team is based on the Department’s site in London and currently comprises one Teaching and Learning Administrators and a Senior Teaching and Learning Administrator who support the MSc Programmes, and one further Teaching and Learning Administrator specifically for Apprenticeships. There is also a Training Programme Administrator and Marketing Officer who supports the short courses and the Department’s industrial training and CPD activity. The Senior Teaching and Learning Administrator (Apprenticeship Programmes) is a senior post which will oversee the smooth running of the Department’s growing apprenticeship teaching portfolio.
