**About us**:
The Queen Square Institute of Neurology has a significant teaching and training portfolio, with over 500 graduate students (over 270 PhD students) at Queen Square, and taught MSc/MRes courses in: Advanced Neuroimaging, Brain and Mind Sciences, Clinical Neuroscience, Neuromuscular Disease, Stroke, Clinical Neurology, Dementia: Causes, Treatments and Research (Neuroscience), Translational Neuroscience and Neurosurgery.

QS ION staff contribute to undergraduate teaching at UCL and for the UCL Medical School, host an Elective programme for final year medical students and participate in the organisation of several CPD courses. The Institute also hosts an intercalated Bachelor of Science degree and will launch a cross-Faculty Bachelor of Science in Human Neuroscience in September 2024.

The ION education team is a key component of the of the ION Central Professional Services support teams (ION Head Office), led by the Institute Manager. These teams provide local professional services support in HR, Finance, Education, EDI, Translation/Enterprise, Library, Medical Illustration/AV and Communication for the entire Institute; they work in close liaison with, and observe the requirements of, their corresponding teams within the Faculty and the central UCL Professional Services Divisions. There are 30 Professional Services staff members in ION Central Administration and just under 200 Professional Services & Technical staff at ION. The education team is staffed by 7 (5.8FTE) teaching administrators, and 9 (4.95FTE) teaching academics.

**About the role**:
You will support the Education Manager in the delivery of student administration for all Taught Courses and will have specific responsibility for the day to day running of the new BSc in Human Neuroscience and iBSc in Clinical Neurology & Brain Sciences.

Key activities will include liaising with potential applicants, processing offers, organising induction activities, preparing course handbooks, and managing the teaching table. You will also manage the student assessment and feedback process, including preparing exam board materials and dealing with student queries.

This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 60-80% of time on site.

**About you**:
You’ll have excellent administration skills, with an organised and flexible approach to work, and the ability to act on your own initiative, work under pressure, and prioritise multiple deadlines. You’ll be confident working sensitively and effectively with a broad range of stakeholders at all levels, including international students and colleagues from different cultures. Excellent record keeping skills and the ability to conduct analyses using databases/spreadsheets and interpret and disseminate information appropriately are also essential to this role.

This role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa certificate of sponsorship under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore, UCL will not be able to sponsor individuals who require right to work in the UK to carry out this role.
