We are on the lookout for a Call Handler to join our Customer Care Team in **Peterborough **where we have embraced the four-day working week This role does include working some Saturdays.

**The role**

As Call Handler you will liaise between our Company and its customers. You will take ownership for effectively solving customer issues, complaints and enquiries whilst keeping customer communication at the core of every decision and behavior.

**Key Tasks**:

- Ensure the telephone is answered in a professional and polite manner.
- Manage large amounts of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner.
- Follow communication ‘scripts’ when handling different topics.
- Identify customers’ needs, clarify information, research every issue, and provide solutions and/or alternatives.
- Build sustainable relationships and engage customers by going the extra mile.
- Keep records of all conversations in our call centre database in a comprehensive way.
- Meet personal and team qualitative and quantitative targets.
- Ensure that all reasonable measures are taken to maintain effective security and that any personal information taken complies with the Data Protection Act.
- Promote equality in working practices by developing and maintaining positive working relationships, ensuring that colleagues/customers are treated fairly.
- To have a working knowledge of all procedures within the department.

**About You**

To be considered as our Call Handler, you will need:

- Experience in effective customer communication
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Experience of working in a Call Centre environment - desirable
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to prioritise and organise workload to ensure targets are met
- GCSE Maths & English - minimum grade C or equivalent
- Knowledge of Trading Standards and Sale of Goods Act - desirable
