**Hours**: 17.5 hours per week to include Fridays. 2 Saturdays to be worked / month. Flexibility in working pattern, in agreement with line manager

**Based**:Sutton Courtenay Environmental Education Centre [Hybrid working is available upon agreement with Line Manager]

The Learning Officer will help nature recover by engaging, children, young people and adults in nature based activities.

You will join our Learning Team to deliver a series of different events at the Sutton Courtenay Environmental Education Centre. You’ll be part of a wider team of colleagues delivering environmental education and activities to encourage others to act for nature.

What you’ll be doing;
- To assist in the delivery of inspiring education programmes to primary and secondary ages children and young people
- To assist in the delivery and planning of Nature Tots outdoor toddler groups
- To support, plan and deliver events for our adult learning provision
- Develop informative and educational resources across a variety of media to promote nature connection and our activities, such as the creation of posters and other written content
- Assist with upkeep of education areas as required

What we’re looking for;
- Someone who is skilled at designing and delivering environmental education or other educational activities for children, young people and adults, including primary and secondary aged groups
- The ability to work with a range of people from different backgrounds, age groups and communities
- The ability to liaise with external facilitators
- The ability to engage and effectively communicate with volunteers
- Competence in use of MS Office functions such as Word and Outlook and Excel
