As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our European payroll operations. Your contributions will directly impact the timely and accurate compensation of our valued associates. In collaboration with the Payroll team, you will be responsible for a range of essential tasks, from processing payroll adjustments and resolving queries to ensuring data accuracy through meticulous file management. Your technical skills and commitment to precision will be crucial as you support the preparation and submission of salary payments, ultimately ensuring a seamless payroll process.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the Payroll team to ensure accurate and timely processing of monthly payrolls, including starters, leavers, changes, manual calculations, and addressing general queries.
- Assist Payroll Analysts in responding to associates and business inquiries, and actively contribute to maintaining high-quality payroll services.
- Manage daily and weekly data feeds, ensuring accurate file loading and taking corrective measures when needed (e.g., Kronos input, Oracle interface).
- Maintain and update the cashbook, proactively resolving any associated queries to ensure seamless financial transactions.
- Prepare and submit salary payments to the Treasury team, facilitating prompt and accurate payroll processing.
- Address missing or rejected payment queries with efficiency and precision.
- Execute Payroll vetting reports, promptly taking corrective actions as required.
- Escalate payroll concerns to appropriate channels when necessary, ensuring efficient issue resolution.
- Undertake assigned tasks from the Payroll Supervisor or Senior Finance Specialist, providing timely status updates.
- Collaborate with third-party payroll providers to ensure timely data submission and receipt of payroll reports in alignment with established schedules.
- Fulfill any other relevant and reasonable payroll-related tasks as needed.

**Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience**:

- Payroll experience in a similar role, demonstrating a strong understanding of payroll processes.
- Proficiency in manual overpayment calculations and the ability to manage payments outside of automated payroll systems.
- Advanced technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel, to streamline data processing and reporting.
- Familiarity with payroll software iTrent is a plus, highlighting your adaptability to various tools.
- Exceptional numerical acumen, allowing you to analyze, investigate, and effectively resolve complex payroll discrepancies.
- Strong telephone etiquette and customer service skills, contributing to a positive and engaging employee experience.
