**My client, a leading company based in Watford, are currently seeking a Payroll Administrator to join their team on a full time and permanent basis with a very good salary of between £28,000 and £35,000 dependent on experience.**
Ideal position for an AAT leaver.
Hours of work are 9 am until 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday.
Fast paced environment with strict timescales and deadlines to work to.
**Key responsibilities below**:
Payroll and General Payrolling responsibilities
General bookkeeping using Sage accounting package
Posting customer and supplier/subcontractor invoices to ledger accurately and efficiently
Bank reconciliation
Reconciliation of invoices
Working together with the Directors for profit and loss reports and expense analysis
Monthly management of accounts
Distributing and chasing outstanding payments
Court claims
VAT returns
End of year accounts
Company pension returns
Assessing dates of compliance and scheduling accordingly
Checking over paperwork from on site staff
Procurement and stock ordering
Liaising with suppliers regarding costs, contracts etc
Subcontractor forms
Ensuring full compliance with regulations and assistance with compliance teams
Document control
Elements of HR.
Essential Requirements:
Minimum 2 year experience within bookkeeping/accounts/payroll role, whether as a trainee or fully qualified administrator.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Impeccable attention to detail to all aspects of work
Ability to work independently on initiative with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency, a lot of additions to systems will be needed so accuracy is key
Able to prioritise and meet strict deadlines and work under pressure
Confident using computers - ideally experience using: Microsoft excel, word, sage accounts, moneysoft payroll but training can be provided.
Must be over the age of 21 due to insurance reasons
Please note, this is not a home working or hybrid role but would require you to be working from my clients offices in Watford each working day.
