Permanent Part-time Telephonist/administration

**Overview**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our small but dynamic team in a busy GP practice.
Here at Hodnet Medical Centre you will work as part of a team responsible for delivering a high quality, efficient service as the first point of contact for our patients. We have good patient access and excellent patient satisfaction making our Medical Centre a pleasure to be a part of.
The duties and responsibilities to be undertaken include:
- Answering the telephone in prompt, professional and polite manner. Divert calls and take messages, ensuring accuracy of detail and prompt appropriate delivery
- General administration duties which would include processing of the daily post, scanning onto the Docman medical system and directing this to the appropriate member of the team, saving information into medical records
- Dealing with tasks in an effective and efficient manner from other members of the team and other healthcare professionals.
- Booking appointments
- Enter and confirm patient information accurately, on to the computer as required
- Duties may be varied from time to time under the direction of the management team and GP’s, dependent on current and evolving workload and staffing levels.

- Telephone etiquette
- Work as a member of a team
- To remain professional at all times.
- To be able to prioritise a busy workload.
All staff have annual appraisals and regular reviews to ensure they develop to their full potential.
Salary dependant on experience
**Job Type**: Part-time
Expected hours: 17 - 24 per week
