**Position Overview**

As an Artist Agent at BPM you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with artists, industry professionals, and potential clients. You will serve as the primary point of contact for artists, guiding their career trajectories, securing performance engagements, and maximising their exposure in the music industry.

**Responsibilities**
- Identify and recruit potential talent through proven research methods.
- Serve as the main liaison between artists and the talent agency, fostering strong and collaborative partnerships.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to advance artists’ careers, focusing on securing performance opportunities, tours, and collaborations.
- Negotiate and secure favorable contracts and deals on behalf of artists, including record labels, music publishers, and brand partnerships.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market demands, and emerging artists to identify new opportunities for representation.
- Provide guidance and support to artists in areas such as branding, image development, and career decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and PR, to develop comprehensive artist promotion strategies.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and showcases to network and actively seek new business opportunities.

**Essential Qualities**
- Proven experience as an Artist Agent or within artist management, talent agency, or music industry.
- In-depth knowledge of the music industry, including current trends, market dynamics, and industry contacts.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to advocate for artists and secure favorable deals.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain relationships with artists, clients, and industry professionals.
- Familiarity with performance contracts and ability to agree terms of the contracts with promoters and venues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Passion for music, with a keen ear for talent and the ability to identify artists with potential for growth.

**Desirable Qualities**
- Established industry network and contacts across various segments of the music industry.
- Experience in booking performances, coordinating tours, and managing logístical aspects of artist engagements.
- Familiarity with music licensing, copyright, and legal aspects relevant to artist representation.
- Creative thinking and a forward-looking mindset to identify unique opportunities for artist development and exposure.
- Business acumen and financial literacy to analyse contracts, budgets, and financial implications.
