- Until 31st March 2024The ADAPT team provides comprehensive programme management to a variety of research consortia and projects within the International Public Health and Clinical science departments at LSTM. This portfolio includes large, trans-disciplinary research consortia. The post holder will also provide administrative and logístical support to team members.

The ADAPT (Administration and Programmes Team) sits within the Department of International Public Health at LSTM, and includes senior programme manager, Programme manager and programme administrators. The team proactively manage a portfolio of research projects and programmes, including large multi-partner consortia, and one off, small projects.

We lead these on behalf of several different Primary Investigators (lead scientists) across 2 departments and several disciplines. Key current projects include the GCRF ARISE Hub and the newly awarded Unitaid Start4All TB Diagnostics project, as well as an exciting Liverpool-based Anti-microbial resistance project under the iiCON banner.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **General Duties; **Undertake financial administration tasks, deal with queries relating to payments and expenses,, co-ordinate the creation, formatting, referencing, and editing of report, research proposals and associated documents for funders.
- **ADAPT Project Activities;** Provide administrative support, collate project data management, project reporting to funders, and internal dissemination of reported activities. Develop and maintain systems to record research progress.
- **Coordination; **Oversee arrangements for both UK and overseas trips, acting as main point of contact for colleagues whilst they are travelling. Coordinate national and international meetings, conferences, and workshops, organise the financial requirements for trips, process invoices for partners (ensuring project milestones have been met before payment) and prepare and circulate meeting notes.
- **Project Communications; **Ensure regular updates to key staff webpages on the LSTM website as well as project websites. Prepare high quality documents such as leaflets, posters, and general publicity materials - whilst supporting social media accounts relating to various projects within the group.
- **Financial Coordination; **Undertake all aspects of financial administration, Deal with queries from suppliers relating to payments and expenses, prepare budgetary information and monitor financial information for specific projects and grants, Coordinate with grants office to report on current expenditure and balances on research grant accounts and Coordinate “approval to appoint” (A2A) process for sign-off and submission to HR.
- Experience of working with confidential information, designing and monitoring budgets, and administration of financial records.
- Effective interpersonal, negotiation and diplomacy skills with the ability to handle issues with tact and sensitivity.
- Exceptional aptitude for MS Office Windows packages including Excel spreadsheets.
- Organised and analytical approach to work.
