**Main Areas of Responsibility**
Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing the operation of Reception and providing efficient and high-quality administration and medical support
- Supporting with students referred for unsatisfactory uniform, including the supervision of make-up and nail varnish removal, logging of incidents and contact with home and sending home to change where appropriate
- Supporting with initial assessment of student medical requirements and First Aid
- Supervising of students whilst waiting for appropriate action
- Running reports and accessing student related information using MIS
- Issuing Toilet/Medical/Lunch/Lift passes and providing keys where necessary
- Printing timetables for students
- Lost property and issuing temporary uniform to students
- Ensuring that First Aid and Medicines policies are adhered to
- Administration of medication for students with medical conditions
- Receiving training in the use of Epi-pens
- Ensuring that all medicine is in date, accessible and stored correctly
- Logging first aid cases and completing Accident Forms
- Contacting parents to inform them of children’s injuries or illness
- Making calls to 111/999 as necessary in emergencies
- Vaccinations - dealing with nurses and making sure that the vaccination programme is run well
- Placing orders of first aid equipment and regularly checking First Aid Kits/Grab Bags to ensure that contents have not become out of date
- Providing general clerical/admin support
- Covering Main Office Reception desk

**Qualifications & Experience**
We would like to hear from you if you have:

- NVQ2 or equivalent qualification or experience in relevant discipline
- Good numeracy/literacy skills
- At least two years' school office experience
- Experience of general clerical/administrative/financial work
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures for young people
- Experience of Reception duties
- Appropriate knowledge of first aid
- Good keyboard skills
- Ability to relate well to children and adults
