Markfield, United Kingdom Affinity Trust Full time

**Doing Amazing Things Together** We’re all about possibilities. Are you?**

Are you an encouraging, proactive person who enjoys driving, picnics and listening music?

**Become a Support Worker.**

What matters to the people we support matters to us. It’s their life, their way.

You will be working alongside 2 older gentlemen who enjoy a quieter pace of life in their own home, in Markfield. It is important that you can connect and share their interests. We need people like you to ensure they can live as independently as possible. This role will involve a real hands-on approach and you will be supporting people to maintain their health and wellbeing. Our gentleman love getting out for drives in the wider community, enjoy quiet picnics and going out carriage driving in the countryside.

If you are calm, patient and passionate about helping people to access their community, then we want to hear from you. You could be part of our team and help to support people to maintain or learn new skills needed to live their best lives

This is a part time role working 22.5 hours a week. You should be available to work a variety of shifts across the week between 7am - 10pm and alternate weekends.

So, if you enjoy building meaningful relationships and think you could plan, communicate and deliver support _with_ and _alongside_ people, then this is the place for you.

**Why Join Us?** What will we do?**

We offer Wagestream - a money management app that gives you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it, access to coaching, vouchers, discounts, cashback and more.

You will be entitled to annual leave with the ability to buy additional leave.

Fully funded health cash plans giving you access to a 24 hour GP, money back on prescriptions, dental treatment, opticians and access to many more health benefits.

We provide a package of benefits that make it that bit easier to be your best and we can also support you to achieve a Level 2 diploma in Health and Social Care and pursue a career that takes on more responsibility.

**What will you do?**

Supporting people is really important but it’s not all picnics or drives. We also support people to take medication, assist with personal care, make healthy lifestyle choices and maintain their home in a way that they feel safe, well and happy.

We’re committed to being Disability Confident and we guarantee to interview all applicants with a disability who meet the minimum criteria for the vacancy.
