Here at Ancala Water Services, we’re looking for a confident, people-focused and influential Finance Business Partner to join our close-knit team. You’ll work collaboratively with both operational managers and the wider business to deliver a complete financial support service and ensure that financial performance is in line with our strategic objectives. This role will involve building strong, open and trusted partnerships with our budget-holders and support functions to guide them through all aspects of effective financial planning. You’ll be influential, decisive and solutions-focused, offering guidance on best practice and coaching managers on how to improve and streamline their budgetary commitments. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional who is eager to drive process improvement and be a pivotal member of the Finance team.

This role is predominantly homebased although travel between our sites will be required approximately 4 to 8 times per month to meet with your key customers. You will therefore be based within Gloucestershire which is central to our operational area.

**What You’ll Be Doing**:

- Developing and maintaining trusted relationships with line managers and wider business
- Supporting and guiding line managers to control their budget and improve business performance
- Providing accurate and timely reports such as cash flow forecasting and a variety of financial data
- Advising and supporting the organisation by providing and interpreting analytical information to enable effective decision making
- Provide operational and commercial support in both a financial and non-financial capacity
- Managing the operational business planning and forecasting provision
- Supporting Month end process and annual statutory audit.
- Supporting the Head of Finance with ad-hoc requirements

**What You’ll Bring**:

- Proven track record of successfully managing month end in a similar role
- Chartered member of a relevant professional body (ACCA, CIMA, ACA Qualified)
- Strong IT skills to include Advanced-level MS Excel
- The ability to build relationships at all levels and establish absolute credibility with stakeholders
- Experience in preparing budgets and forecasts and comfortable with data analysis
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and written communication skill
- Ability to influence, challenge and change behaviours across all levels of seniority
- A willingness to work flexibly across the business and the ability to adapt skills to meet new and emerging needs

**About you**:

- You must have been a full-time resident of the UK for the past 5 years
- You must possess a full UK driving licence with the flexibility to travel and attend sites across our operational areas of Wales, West Midlands, South and South-West England with occasional overnight stays
