At Capita, the People Function is accountable for defining, communicating and delivering the People Strategy. Within the wider People Function we maximise our 43,000 employees’ potential throughout the employee lifecycle: from resource planning, recruitment and deployment to setting the strategy/guidelines for performance management, reward, development, and employee relations.

The ER Hub provides consistent advice and expertise with regards to all employee relations cases, in addition to advising the organisation on several wider People related activities that span the employee lifecycle and providing expertise relating to employment legislation.

We act as escalation for highly complex matters to provide recommendations that mitigate risk and partner and collaborate with HR Business Partners and business leaders. We review data that has been collated within the functions and identifying trends and themes, with the aim to introduce simplification through automation and 365 Power Apps.

This role will be on a 4 day per week basis

**What you will do**:
The role is broken down into 70% ER Partnering and 30% Systems and information
- Minimize risk to the business by working collaboratively with Business Integrity to conduct investigations, escalate issues/concerns regarding whistleblowing and protected disclosures.
- Maintain relationship with Legal providers as needed to address complex or highly sensitive issues.
- Working in partnership with ER Manager to represent the ER Hub across the HR Function.
- Provides feedback and guidance to the business, by communicating resolution of employment matters to impacted associates.
- Provide support to Key Stakeholders in the business on grievances raised at senior level or via ExCo.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Make recommendations, provide solutions, and resolve issues as challenges arise.
- Collation and distribution of data that identified trends and themes across the business.
- Building strong relationship with the MI team, in designing processes and implications following feedback and insight.
- Working with Power Apps Portals/ Microsoft 365, as well as SharePoint integrations and data connections within the data case Management.
- Providing coaching and support to line managers on the management of cases
- Creating and delivering bespoke ER training solutions for line managers in response to identified business need.
- Accurate, detailed and timely recording and management of ER cases on the case management system
- Communicate forthcoming legislative changes in good time for changes to be made / implemented.
- Managing complex cases In line with the escalation matrix notifying local HR teams as required
- Working collaboratively as member of the ER Hub function to deliver high quality service to customers: regular communication and information exchange.
- Ensuring all hard and soft copy personnel records are maintained & secure, complying with obligations under the Data Protection Act

**What you will need**:

- Extensive experience in providing effective employment relations-based business solutions that support operational outcomes
- Ability to manage a substantial volume of cases in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience of autonomously and pragmatically managing complex cases up to and including tribunal.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 and in particular power apps, forms and one drive.
- International employment law experience (managing international ER issues)
- Experience in effective case management.
- gather, analyse and interpret data and metrics to develop recommendations and strategies to facilitate positive employee relations and engagement
- Excellent written and telephone communication skills
- Well organised, with ability to work to tight deadlines and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team
- Action orientation - demonstrates a readiness to make decisions
- Specialist knowledge - understands technical or professional aspects of work and maintains technical knowledge
- Makes systematic and rational judgements based on relevant information
- Proficient IT skills
- CIPD qualified desirable but not essential
- Shared service centre experience preferable
- An understanding of HR systems would be an advantage
- Knowledge of coding.
