**About the Role**:
As a Band 5 ODP, you will play a crucial role in supporting the surgical team during various procedures. Your duties will include preparing the operating theatre, assisting with patient positioning, and ensuring the availability of necessary equipment and supplies.

You will work closely with the surgical team, including surgeons, anaesthetists, and nurses, to ensure the smooth running of operations. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, monitoring patients' vital signs, and providing support and reassurance to patients and their families.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Your key responsibilities as a Band 5 ODP will include:

- Preparing the operating theatre, ensuring it is clean and sterile
- Assisting with patient positioning and ensuring their comfort and safety
- Preparing and checking equipment and supplies
- Monitoring patients' vital signs during procedures
- Maintaining accurate records of procedures and patient information
- Providing support and reassurance to patients and their families
- Assisting the surgical team during emergencies

**Requirements**:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A recognised qualification as an Operating Department Practitioner
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Relevant experience in an operating theatre environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A high level of attention to detail
- The ability to remain calm and focused under pressure

**Working Hours and Payment**:
This is a temporary position starting on 12/02/2024 and ending on 12/02/2024. The shift will start at 08:00:00 and end at 13:00:00. You will receive a payment rate of £170 per shift, and the payment will be made through an umbrella company.
