**HEALTH & SAFETY OFFICER / ADMINISTRATOR - CREWE - £25,000 BASIC SALARY + EXCELLENT BENEFITS**

Health and Safety Officer / Administrator required for our client who are a leading education support and services provider institute based in Crewe.

Our client’s vision: to become a vibrant health sciences campus which inspires collaborations between healthcare, academia, innovation and research to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.

Due to their continued success, they now require an experienced Health and Safety Officer / Administrator to work from their Crewe offices.

**THE ROLE**
- You will be responsible for implementing and contributing to the continuous improvement of the health, safety and environmental management system in line with the companies standards, assuring it is applied effectively throughout the organisation.
- Responsible for ensuring that the systems and procedures are in place and are being followed in order to achieve and demonstrate compliance with statutory and mandatory Health, Safety and Environmental Protection requirements within the organisation, principally,but not exclusively, in respect of the provision of a safe and compliant estate.
- Responsible for providing professional health and safety and environmental advice in order to drive a positive safety culture within the organisation.
- Responsible for the planning and delivery of statutory and mandatory inspections and tests (SMIT), and the works arising from them.
- Responsible for ensuring health, safety and environmental risks are identified, assessed and effectively managed within the organisation. This responsibility includes conducting health, safety and environmental audits of conducted business in accordancewith the audit programme.
- This is a full-time permanent position
- Working 37.5 hour per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
- Based from our clients Crewe offices with on-site parking

**THE PERSON**
- The successful Health and Safety Officer / Administrator MUST have similar experience
- Experience of developing and implementing health & safety management systems in the hard facilities management sector.
- Experience in health & safety and environmental risk management, including a sound understanding of relevant legislation and compliance auditing.
- Experience of key stakeholder management, with strong consultation, influencing and negotiation skills, and the ability to build trust and forge strong working relationships between multiple stakeholders, from multiple organisations.
- IT literate using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and able to use remote conferencing facilities such as MS Teams and Skype confidently
- IOSH Managing Safely qualified or higher
- A strong work ethic, Reliable, Flexible, Good timekeeping, Conscientious, Enthusiastic with attention to detail
- Live within a commutable distance to the Crewe, Cheshire office

**THE PACKAGE**
- £25,000 Basic Salary
- 8% Non-contributory pension
- 33 days holiday including bank and public holidays
- On-site parking
