This global manufacturing business based near Blackburn has been operating for over 100 years and has a turnover of £80m. This manufacturing business is planning further growth in 2024 through increased global sales. This manufacturing business has multi revenue streams, manufacture in multiple locations in the UK and import from China.

**The Job**

This purchase ledger role is to replace the existing purchase ledger clerk who is retiring. This purchase ledger role will see you taking responsibility for:

- processing complex import invoices by building container spreadsheets to ensure commodity codes, duty, VAT are correct
- processing overhead invoices on a monthly basis (hotels, Amazon orders etc)
- monthly supplier reconciliations
- credit card reconciliations
- expenses payments and analysis of costs
- Other administrative duties in line with monthly deadlines

**The Requirements**

A high level of attention to detail is an absolute must for this role as you will be processing around 1000, often complex, invoices a month. No two days will be the same in this fast-paced role and you will need to be able to adapt quickly to change.

The role requires you to take full ownership of the end-to-end purchase ledger for the business so previous experience in a similar role is desirable. Previous experience of dealing with foreign currencies and international is highly desirable.

You must be comfortable with large systems ideally with experience on an ERP based system or SAP along with good exposure to Excel.
