The Spires Academy is an alternative education provision for learners aged 5 to 11-years-old and whose needs cannot be met within a mainstream environment. In particular, the Academy provides placements for young people in the Northamptonshire area who exhibit social, emotional and behavioural concerns.

**Job Description**:
**Main Duties**:

- Ensure that the Academy meets all of its statutory responsibilities and requirements when dealing with safeguarding concerns. This includes when concerns are raised about Adults working with Children.
- Manage a caseload of students with ongoing safeguarding concerns as part of a multi agency team of professionals.
- Support and develop a positive and proactive safeguarding culture throughout the school. You will lead on safeguarding and embed a strong culture throughout the academy with rigorous self evaluation and training.
- Deliver safeguarding training to staff and provide regular updates to staff members.
- Support staff in developing their safeguarding knowledge and practice within the school.
- Line Manage staff where appropriate

- Designated Safeguarding Lead Training
- GCSE’s or Equivalent at Grade C or above in English and Maths
