We have an exciting opportunity for a Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join our neuro rehab team at the Floyd unit. The role will require you to support the therapy team (Physio, SLT and Occupational Therapists) in aspects of; assessment, goal setting, rehab, and discharge planning within a 24-hour rehab approach philosophy. The post holder will support the development of activities and groups which support increased access to rehab, alongside the therapy team, other rehab support workers and our unit activity coordinator.

This is an excellent opportunity where you will have access to training, supervision, support and development of assessment and rehabilitation skills. There will be opportunity to support and lead quality improvement projects relevant to the development of the Neuro Rehab service.

To assist the delivery of high quality, evidenced based neuro rehab to the caseload of the Floyd unit.
- To work as an integral member of the therapy team supporting assessment, therapy interventions, education, and discharge planning.
- To use technical and creative skills in the provision of rehabilitative activities for patients in 1:1 sessions and therapy groups and be responsible for evaluating and amending treatment programs within your scope of practice and with guidance from the therapy team (Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational therapists, and Physiotherapists).
- To promote a 24-hour rehab approach on the unit through initiatives like group development, environment review, and resource development
- To support the rehab support worker team and activity coordinator ensuring efficiency and coordinated approach to care
- To take a lead in identified audits, quality improvement projects and resource management projects for the therapy service with supervision from senior therapists
