**About us**:
The Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Research Unit, based at the Square Multiple Sclerosis Centre (QSMSC), has been successful in studying MS over almost three decades using a large number of clinical and quantitative MR techniques, thanks to a UCL 3T scanner dedicated to research. A combination of innovation in MR sequence development, a commitment to high quality MR quantification, and excellence in clinical studies and access to patients through collaborations with the National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN), has contributed to an international reputation and leadership in the field.

**About the role**:
We are looking for a part time (0.5 FTE) Imaging Facility Coordinator to provide professional, comprehensive administrative support for the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) facility daily operations, with particular responsibility for coordinating scan appointments and managing the scanner diary. You will support other scanner-related activities, such as research studies led by Principal Investigators of the Neuroinflammation Department, as agreed with the line manager.
You will provide key support to MRI studies led by the Department’s senior Professors and Principal Investigators but will also liaise with external collaborators and service users, of which the NHS is the main interlocutor. The Department has more than 50 staff (including honorary appointments) and 18 PhD students.

An Honorary Clinical Contract will be sought from UCLH NHS Foundation Trust, for which a DBS check will be required.

The post is available immediately and is supported by departmental funds until 31 July 2024 in the first instance with a possibility of further extension.

A full job description and person specification for this role can be accessed below.

**About you**:
You will regularly interact with patients and with many health professionals, clinical and non-clinical researchers, and academics within and external to UCL/UCLH, thus a professional attitude, willingness to help, and positive, proactive, and flexible approach are required. Significant administrative experience, a demonstrable understanding of confidentiality issues, and excellent time management and organisational skills are also essential for this role.

**What we offer**:
The post is offered part time, with starting salary in the range £15,565.50 - £18,174 (i.e., 50% of £31,131 to £36,348) per annum inclusive of London Allowance.

As well as the exciting opportunities this role presents, we also offer great benefits, some of which are below:

- 41 Days holiday (27 days annual leave 8 bank holiday and 6 closure days)
- Additional 5 days’ annual leave purchase scheme
- Defined benefit career average revalued earnings pension scheme (CARE)
- Cycle to work scheme and season ticket loan
- Immigration loan
- Relocation scheme for certain posts
- On-Site nursery
- On-site gym
- Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay
- Employee assistance programme: Staff Support Service
- Discounted medical insurance
