This role will have responsibility for improving performance within our Sixth Form Netball Academy, alongside enhancing participation and provision across years 7 - 10 netball clubs and teams at both Charnwood College and one day a week at Lodge Park Academy.

Depending on hours and availability, the coach also has the opportunity to run Trust wide Netball opportunities including Masterclasses, Development Days and Trust Competitions.

The Trust is passionate about sport and we’re looking for someone to improve participation, performance and opportunities for our pupils. Whether you are new to coaching or have many years experience in Netball.

**_ About the role_**

It is a 24 months fixed-term, term time role working 21 - 37 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.

The actual working pattern can be discussed during interviews.

**Qualifications and Professional Development**

**Essential**
- Coaching qualification or significant experience within Netball
- Passion for Netball which could be drawn on to benefit the academy and pupils
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Ability to plan, organise and deliver meaningful coaching sessions

**Desirable**
- Willing to undertake additional NGB coaching qualifications
- Experience of working in schools
- Holder of a current first aid qualification, or willingness to undertake training
- Holder of a current safeguarding qualification, or willingness to undertake training

- Positive role model, demonstrating self-motivation and mature interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain a warm, respectful, and valued rapport with young people.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written) and high level organisation skills.
- Able to use your own initiative to drive participation and improve performance
- High personal and professional standards, including recognition of the confidentiality issues impacting upon work in a school (e.g. access to sensitive pupil medical or family information).
- Awareness of safeguarding legislation and issues and full commitment to safeguarding practice.
- Ability to communicate with pupils, parents, staff and other members of the Trust
- Enthusiastic and energetic approach, with a can-do attitude.
- Ability to develop a programme to ensure progression and improvement
