**Service Lead**

Location Edgbaston (GFS operate a hybrid working model), with the ability to travel within Birmingham as required.

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week, with some occasional evening and weekend working

**Salary**: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending upon experience

Gateway Family Services CIC (GFS) is an established and pioneering provider of Health and Wellbeing Services in Birmingham and the surrounding areas. They have a fantastic opportunity for a Service Lead to manage the organisations neighbourhood focused work ensuring a high quality of service delivery, working closely with their delivery partners.

**The Role**

The Service Lead role is a key role within the organisation responsible for the successful operational delivery of both the Neighbourhood Network Scheme and Early Help Edgbaston Services, ensuring high quality delivery within budget.

You will line manage a team working at various levels, ensuring that they are motivated to deliver their service and receive relevant support and training.

You will also build and manage effective relationships with key stakeholders, in particular partners within delivery organisations Age UK and Birmingham Children's Trust.

**Your main duties and responsibilities will include**:
Effective line management of the team who have responsibility for delivery of the contracts/services

Support the development of the team and providing leadership across the services

Ensure services are delivered efficiently in line with contract requirements under the guidance of the Head of Operations, raising any contractual concerns/risks in a timely and appropriate manner

Completion and collation of reports as necessary and attendance at commissioner meetings as required

Build and maintain links with relevant partners, primarily those mentioned as well as wider partners such as Local Adult Social Care teams, BCC Commissioning teams and local assets

Identify areas of underperformance and, where required, implement suitable solutions to address the problem

Effectively manage any delegated budgets and ensure all purchases are obtained in line with budget guidelines

About You

As Service Lead, you will have experience of managing health, wellbeing or social care services.

**You will also have experience of**:
Managing line managers, outreach staff and support workers

Project / contract management

Implementing contracts, seeing through to operational delivery and maintaining strong performance, within budget

Achieving contract / service targets

You may also have experience in areas such as Programme Manager, Programme Lead, Senior Programme Officer, Programmes Manager, Programmes Lead, Senior Programmes Officer, Service Manager, Services Manager, Services Lead, Senior Services Officer.
