At Widgety, we’re the driving force behind the digital presence of over 80 operators and 1000 cruise ships worldwide; meticulously curating content down to the finest details. We’re looking for a dedicated Content Editor to join our team to help manage our growing platform.

**Role Overview**

The Content Team at Widgety play a pivotal role in presenting cruise lines and tour operators in the best light possible, with as much information as we can find. Our updates are fed out to consumer websites, booking systems, call centres and more worldwide, so accuracy and precision are paramount. We’re looking for a Content Editor to join this team to ensure that everything is polished to perfection.

**Responsibilities**
- Curate and update content with a focus on quality and consistency, from overview brand photos to tiny details.
- Upload images and files, ensuring that any adjustments have been made including compression, colour correction and file conversion.
- Use a range of resources to collate everything that we need.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all aspects of content management.
- Independently manage workload and motivation while working remotely.

**Requirements**:

- Proficiency in computer skills, including image editing, file management and general computer use.
- Ability to distinguish between high and low-resolution images and perform the necessary adjustments.
- Knowledge of file types, colour settings, cropping and image copyrights.
- Ability to sift through and select relevant information from a variety of sources.
- Excellent spelling and grammar skills, with a commitment to quality of copy.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
- Excellent communication skills both internally and with customers.

**Bonus skills that we’d love to see**
- A basic knowledge of Photoshop.
- A keen eye for selecting captivating photos.
- Familiar with using a Mac, including Automator, Slack, Chrome Inspector and other basic software.
- Experience within the travel industry.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- A pet that you can show us on our weekly team calls.

This is a full time position (37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday), to start from 1st May 2024. You will need to regularly commute to our office in Southampton so must be in the surrounding area.

**Salary**: £19,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
